The Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Association (HJTA) released its 2015 Legislative Report Card and Senator Janet Nguyen is proud to announce that she was recognized with an “A” rating for her efforts to protect California’s taxpayers.
The HJTA Legislative Report Card is an annual rating card that measures how state legislators voted on taxpayer-related issues, such as bills affecting tax increases and Proposition 13. The 2015 score card was based on votes involving 16 bills during the past legislative session.
“As a taxpayer advocate, I am always proud to take a stand against legislation that seeks to increase or impose taxes on hardworking Californians,” said Senator Janet Nguyen. “This Legislative Report Card is a reflection of my commitment to my constituents and I will continue to fight to protect them from frivolous tax increases.”
The HJTA was founded by Howard and Estelle Jarvis and is dedicated to the protection of Proposition 13 and the advancement of taxpayers’ rights, including the right to limited taxation, the right to vote on tax increases and the right of economical, equitable and efficient use of taxpayer dollars.
